How focusing on recovery can sky rocket your results

When it comes to your health, what is the one area you’d like to see improvements in over anything else?

For many, they’d say they’d like to improve their body shape, for others it could be to get stronger or more supple.

I’ve had the honour to work with people from all sorts of backgrounds, some who are in amazing condition, some who are super supple and some who are really struggling with their health. The interesting thing is, once you really get to know someone and they start to learn more about themselves, the most common thing they actually desire is MORE ENERGY.

How often have you heard someone complain that they ‘feel tired all the time’? Even some of the ‘fittest’ people I know complain about this topic. Every now again (most weeks in fact), I find myself going a little off track with my health goals. These little detours are part of LIFE and will happen to the best of us. Whether they last a few days or a few years, one inevitable result of these little detours is a drop in our prized energy levels.

Why is ENERGY so sought after?

Have you ever had one of those days when you just feel really good? When you have energy, everything becomes a little easier. You can think clearer, you are more productive, and it can even improve your relationships. When we have more energy, life is generally more enjoyable, and could that be why we do anything in the first place?!

This is why today I’d like to start PROJECT RESTORATION.

NOUN

  1. the action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition:
  1. The return of a monarch to a throne, a head of state to government, or a regime to power.

You were designed to be lean, healthy, strong and full of energy. Over the next few weeks I’d like to share with you a few tools I’ve learned that can help restore you to what you were designed to be. Step 1 is the most powerful out of the lot and your homework for this week:

Step 1: Forgive yourself and anyone else who has commented negatively about you and your health. Forgiveness has now even been proven scientifically to increase your results. Unforgiveness harbours resentful feelings about yourself which saps your energy and keeps you locked into the mind sets of ‘I’m not good enough’ and ‘it won’t work’.

This may sound airy fairy to some of you, but I dare you to give it a go and see what happens! Catch you next week
